I'm currently studying at the New Jersey Institute of Technology to earn my degree in mechanical engineering. As an engineering student, it is important that I keep my understanding of physics, math, and chemistry fresh. Tutoring allows me to regularly review important concepts while passing my knowledge on to support someone in their academic development. I grew up tutoring family members, as I was the eldest among six children. I picked up where my siblings teachers left off, filling gaps and helping them with homework. I have experience in working with students with Autism and similar problems. Since every student learns differently, I make a point of learning how the students I work with learn best. I believe a systematic approach is invaluable to education, starting from the foundation and building up for a stronger grasp of the information. I can offer support in algebra, geometry, US history, calculus, and even standardized tests like the ACT or SAT. When I'm not tutoring or studying, I have a lot of different hobbies. I play DoTA 2 with my friends. I keep up with the sports teams of Chicago, as well as do a lot of reading. I also enjoy hiking, running, and playing chess.
